As User Experience Designer – Voice & AI for BBC, I can offer a the role over ten years of professional visual design experience which has a solid foundation in user centered design, where usability goals have alway been paramount, this includes understanding user characteristics, there social environment, which tasks the done on a daily basis which influenced the work flow of the product or service.

I am a natural team player, who thrives on problem solving real world problems, through using my solid academic foundation. My MSc has enhanced my professional design practice to embrace and run with design system thinking, focusing on consistency, cohesive experiences, that follow a linguistic approach to each product design or service.

As a professional visual designer I pride myself on my user centered design process, Empathise, Define, Ideate, Prototype & Test.
Having solid experience in working as a multidisciplinary collaborative team, I create wireframes and sketches that focus on key visual elements, from colour, white space, symmetry and colour of my designs. The smallest details make the biggest difference in design and that’s why I pride myself in the details.

How can the human continue enjoyment of the same experience of BBC news content from online reading to audio from a voice device?

  • The human can’t always interact because they’re busy with small humans.

  • The human wants an immersive news experience but cant always access website.

  • The human would like to access the content via other emerging technologies.

The BBC News will launch Hark a new voice interaction feature to enable the human to enjoy a meaningful experience through discovering new content and via Amazon’s echo.

It’s has been thoughtfully designed for The human who has very little time to read due to time restrictions, family commits or wants to enjoy the information at there own pace, however, is passionate news.

Hark is a product that lives on your BBC News page that offers the human a visual way to connect via the BBC Skill, to continue their news experience from web to an immersive listening experience.

Hark is a product that lives on your BBC News page that offers the human a visual way to connect via the BBC Skill, to continue their news experience from web to an immersive listening experience.

  • The human can focus on her responsibilities while enjoying her experience 

  • The human can feel connected to her favourite media outlet through here changing circumstances 

How will the Hark?

Exploring and researching on how the human will interact with the app and how it the application should work and look was the next challenge. The three investigation bellow explore ways to visual show the best way of presenting it to the human.

  • The humans interaction with feature will Offer user a tradition UI, there will be no restraints on UI, user can disable when ready 

  • The human may find the UI confusing and could interrupt the humans experience.

  • The humans interaction with feature could give the fell of a guardian angel UI, that is there to support and offer its service at any point.

  • The human may find the UI confusing and could interrupt the humans experience.

  • The humans will be presented by the standard UI and would not have to radically change there behaviour to use new feature

  • The human may find the UI confusing as being presented by a UI, that looks and feels like the standard but behaves like a standalone.
